The L&C Railway is a privately owned, well-capitalized, financially strong, short line railroad based in Lancaster, South Carolina, 35 miles south of Charlotte, NC. We provide customized, competitive rail freight service for our customers and connect them to the national rail network through both CSXT and Norfolk Southern.

With over 100 years of continuous rail operations, the L&C Railway provides South Carolina with a strong transportation ally for industrial growth. The Railroad owns over 3,100 acres of industrially zoned property with our largest parcel of over 1,150 acres located on I-77.

The L&C Railway is strategically located in Lancaster and Chester Counties, SOUTH CAROLINA, 35 miles south of CHARLOTTE, NC, on the I-77 corridor and just 45 miles north of COLUMBIA, SC. Our Customers have quick access via I-77 to I-20, I-26, I-40, I-85, and I-95. This easy access to the interstate network provides for the timely movement of goods and services to market centers located within a one (1) day drive from our customers’ plants.
